On September 17th, The White Dress Project, an organization that promotes awareness of fibroids with chapters in multiple cities, is hosting an event at La Tasca Spanish Tapas Restaurant and Bar at 722 7th St, N.W., Washington, D.C. 22314 from 4:00PM to 6:30PM.

In their first event in the Washington, D.C. area, “The Power, Hope and Courage Behind the White Dress,” The White Dress Project has invited attendees from around the area, OB/GYNs, GYN specialists and mental health practitioners to be part of a discussion on treatment and raising awareness about uterine fibroids and their impact on women’s health and fertility.

Dr. Paul MacKoul, MD, founder of The Center for Innovative GYN Care and director of Gynecologic Laparoscopy at Holy Cross Hospital will join other area medical professionals for the discussion, and will address minimally invasive solutions for women who are suffering with symptoms of fibroids, or who are having difficulty getting pregnant.
