New Alliance for Endometriosis Promotes Awareness and Support

Seven leaders in women’s health care have come together to create The Alliance for Endometriosis. The alliance aims to promote awareness and improve support for people with endometriosis, a GYN condition that is notorious for being difficult to diagnose, often leading to a long delay in treatment.

CIGC’s co-founder and GYN surgical specialist Dr. Paul MacKoul is an advocate for early and accessible diagnosis and treatment. Dr. MacKoul spoke with Verywell Health about the combination of physical and emotional distress in patients with endometriosis and how the condition can impact quality of life.
