CIGC specialists do not use robotics or power morcellators to perform surgery. Many studies have shown that the robotic approach does not have any clinical advantages over regular laparoscopy for GYN surgery. Surgeons who are inadequately trained in laparoscopy use robot-assisted laparoscopic surgery as an alternative to conventional GYN surgery. It takes longer to perform the surgery and increases risks to the patient.
