Adenomyosis is a little understood GYN condition that is often mistaken for endometriosis. Both involve the abnormal growth of uterine tissue, both cause symptoms like pelvic pain and heavy bleeding and both can be difficult to diagnose. But while endometriosis is gaining notoriety, there is still a lack of awareness around adenomyosis.
